what is reformer pilates?
At My Pilates Hub, we describe it as: Pilates being performed on a specialist piece of equipment which is called a Reformer bed. The Reformer bed allows for a more challenging workout, and it provides faster results as it enables a greater range of movement. As pictured below, the reformer is a bed with springs that has straps, pullies, ropes, and has a sliding carriage, which all create tension. This method was devised by Joseph’s Pilates to rehabilitate soldiers in World War 1.
Reformer Pilates focuses core strength and proper muscle engagement. This is suitable for people with injury because it is low impact high resistance . The eccentric movement on tension improves muscle strength and core stability.
Reformer Pilates provides faster results, one session of Reformer Pilates is worth 6 of those Mat-based.
Booking 10 sessions will improve your body goal and alleviate pain quickly.
We have only one body so its definitely worth investing
The Reformer sessions are tailored to the individual by noting injuries, observing posture , range of movement then devising a plan after the initial session. These are on a 1-2-1 basis, not a group session. These sessions will enhance and accelerate rehabilitation of your own personal needs.
The Reformer machine is not only a ‘ power house ’workout for your core it also helps create internal pressure to elongate the spine, joints and muscles - which then leads to greater flexibility, strength, stamina and a more balanced posture, therefore alleviating pain.
